Founded in 1935, Sheng Kung Hui St. Christopher’s Home began as an orphanage taking care of homeless children and has developed into an organisation that provides various child-focused social services today. It is also the largest non-governmental organisation in Hong Kong that provides small group home service for children who cannot receive adequate family care with the mission to create and sustain a caring environment for children and youth to grow, to develop potentials and to live a life of fullness. Its services include residential childcare services, early childhood education, integrated child health and development services and support services for new arrivals from the mainland. With 86 years in residential childcare services, our early childhood education encompasses specially designed curriculum that supports children physical, mental and spiritual well being.
We inspire children’s thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills, develop their multiple intelligences, nuture their independence and self-care skills, enhance their social skills and encourage self-directed learning in them, so that they can learn and thrive in a joyful and stress-free atmosphere to demonstrate their creativity.
