Our curriculum design is centered on the core values of “child-centered” and “holistic education.” It organized in accordance with the Hong Kong Curriculum Development Council’s “Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide(2017),” the aim is to provide meaningful and engaging learning content for children.
The curriculum encompasses moral, cognitive, language, physical, aesthetic, emotional, and social development, while integrating spiritual education to promote balanced growth in children. We advocate for activity-based teaching, utilizing games, discussions, outdoor observations, and exploratory activities to inspire children’s diverse learning abilities and cultivate their curiosity and self-confidence.
Picture book teaching
Picture book teaching is one of the core features of our curriculum. Teachers use selected picture books combined with practical and exploratory activities to enhance children’s knowledge across various learning areas. This approach helps children develop a good reading habit and interest from an early age, which greatly benefits their future learning foundation.
Inquiry-Based Learning
Inquiry-based learning encourages children to actively discover problems and seek solutions. Children engage in various inquiry activities, such as field trips, experiments, and group discussions, where they employ skills like observation, researching, comparison, and inference. This approach not only cultivates children’s logical thinking abilities but also enhances their curiosity and spirit of exploration, while developing their problem-solving skills.
Religious Curriculum
Our institution follows the Christian spirit of “loving God and loving others” and is dedicated to nurturing children’s spiritual development, allowing them to thrive in an environment of love and care. Through participation in children’s worship, listening to Bible stories, prayer, singing hymns, reciting scriptures, and Bible study, children not only come to know and appreciate the Creator’s design but also establish positive values and cultivate good character, becoming children who are cherished by the Father.
Outdoor Experiential Learning Activities
Outdoor experiential learning activities allow children to step outside the classroom, enriching their learning experiences and broadening their perspectives. These activities also provide them with the joy of exploration and inspire a love for learning.
