STEM Project

           Our Nursery participated in the “Early Childhood STEM Learning and Maker Education Project” organized by The Education University of Hong Kong in 2020-2021. Under the leadership of Dr. Leung Wai Man, Vivienne and the STEM team, the teachers developed children’s thinking and problem-solving skills by using recycled and learning materials to solve daily life problems.  Besides, the teachers also integrated STEAM learning into the curriculum  with picturebooks.  Different from the traditional learning mode, children observed, explored, and created along the STEM learning journey.  The STEM learning activities enhanced children’s independent thinking by using engineering and technology learning resources in the ‘Maker Education’.  Children became little makers with hands-on experience in such unique learning process.   Parents also experienced different types of family-child activities that further broaden children’s insight and developed their inquiry skills.
